THE SKATING TREADMILL - POTW

2017 Division Player of the Week – Royce McKenzie

Week of July 13th – July 19th

The Gateway Hockey Summer League is proud to recognize Royce McKenzie of The Skating Treadmill as our 2017 Division Player of the Week.

While goals often grab the headlines, this week's recognition belongs to a player who made his impact at the other end of the ice.

Royce was outstanding defensively throughout the game, showing excellent positioning, determination, and hockey IQ every time he stepped onto the ice. He consistently broke up scoring chances, battled hard along the boards, and made smart plays to help his team transition out of their own zone.

His willingness to compete, support his teammates, and play a responsible defensive game was a major reason for his team's success this week. Royce's effort and commitment demonstrated that strong defensive play can be just as valuable as putting points on the scoreboard.

At Gateway Hockey, we take pride in recognizing players who excel in every aspect of the game, and Royce's performance is a perfect example of the hard work, teamwork, and sportsmanship we strive to promote throughout the summer.

Congratulations to Royce McKenzie on being named the 2017 Division Player of the Week, presented by The Skating Treadmill. We look forward to watching Royce continue his development and finish the season strong!

Congratulations, Royce! Keep up the great work!
