Players of the Week – Week 9

July 13th – July 19th

As the Gateway Hockey Summer League heads into Championship Week for the 2012 / 2013 Division, Week 9 featured outstanding individual performances across each division. Every week, our Players of the Week, presented by Made in Mexico Restaurant & Cantina, recognize players who made a significant impact on the ice through their skill, effort, and leadership.

Congratulations to this week's recipients!

2016 Division – Austin Anderson

Austin Anderson earns Player of the Week after an incredible offensive performance, recording a hat trick with three goals to help lead his team to an exciting victory.

Austin was a constant offensive threat every time he stepped onto the ice. His speed, determination, and ability to finish scoring chances made him one of the standout performers of the night. Congratulations, Austin, on a fantastic game!

2012/2013 Division – Keegan Senay

In the biggest game of the season so far, Keegan Senay stood tall between the pipes.

Facing the league's first-place team, Georgian Communities, in the semifinal, Keegan delivered an outstanding goaltending performance to help 4th-place Diamond & Diamond pull off a 3-2 upset and earn a spot in next week's Gold Medal Game.

His timely saves, calm presence under pressure, and ability to come up with big stops when his team needed them most were the difference in one of the biggest playoff upsets of the summer.

Congratulations, Keegan, on an unforgettable performance!

2011 Division – Luke McCarthy

Luke McCarthy had one of the most productive nights of the season, finishing with one goal and three assists in a dominant offensive performance.

Luke showcased excellent vision and playmaking ability throughout the game, creating scoring opportunities for his teammates while also finding the back of the net himself. His four-point night helped power his team to an important victory as the 2011 Division continues its push toward Championship Night.

Congratulations, Luke, on an outstanding performance!
